Ipoh, July 11, 2024 — On Thursday, the Ipoh City Council hosted a significant event, the Environmental Health Campaign, in celebration of World Food Safety Day 2024. Held at the Floor 4, Ipoh Convention Center, this event was designed to enhance public awareness of food safety, halal practices, and the management to dispose the used cooking oil.

Official Launch by the Mayor of Ipoh
The event was inaugurated with great ceremony by Y.Bhg. Dato’ Rumaizi bin Baharin @ Md Daud, the Mayor of Ipoh. In his opening address, the Mayor highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of food safety and quality within our community. He emphasized the collective responsibility of ensuring that the food we produce and consume is both safe and high in quality.

Speech about Used Cooking Oil Management
Following the Mayor’s speech and a discussion on halal certification, the program continued with a speech delivered by a representative from our company. This session was aimed at providing an in-depth understanding of used cooking oil management. The speech covered various strategies to prevent environmental contamination through proper disposal of used cooking oil. Additionally, we discussed our company’s ongoing efforts to promote responsible and sustainable waste management practices.

Presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to Selected Premises
As part of the campaign, we presented Certificates of Appreciation to several premises that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the regular disposal of used cooking oil through our company’s services. These certificates served as a token of gratitude for their cooperation in maintaining environmental cleanliness and supporting our used cooking oil management initiatives. We hope that this recognition will inspire other establishments to follow suit.

Environmental Exhibits and Interactive Activities
Throughout the event, visitors were engaged with a variety of environmental exhibits featuring contributions from several organizations. Our company’s exhibition booth provided information on used cooking oil management and showcased a range of activities related to environmental health. In addition, a Q&A session allowed attendees to ask questions and share their views with the speakers and exhibitors.

Conclusion and Acknowledgements
The Environmental Health Campaign successfully met its objectives of raising awareness about food safety, halal certification practices, and the proper management of used cooking oil. We were thrilled to witness the enthusiastic participation from visitors and participants throughout the event.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Ipoh City Council for hosting the Environmental Health Campaign and making World Food Safety Day 2024 a memorable event. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participants and visitors who joined us and engaged with the various activities throughout the day.

Let us continue our collective efforts in maintaining environmental cleanliness and ensuring food safety! 🌍💚
