Making strides toward a cleaner, greener future with sustainable biodiesel.
Green Energy Asia (GEA), a leader in recycling and renewable energy, participated in a Corporate Family Day and Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Awareness Program at Hume Cement Gopeng Plant on October 12, 2024. This event offered GEA the opportunity to introduce its Used Cooking Oil (UCO) Collection Program, part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
The UCO Collection Program demonstrates how businesses and households can contribute to reducing harmful environmental practices by recycling used cooking oil. GEA transforms UCO into biodiesel, a renewable, cleaner-burning alternative to fossil fuels, preventing improper disposal that harms the environment and significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
During the event, GEA successfully collected 239 kg of UCO from 8 AM to 12 PM, showing the ease and effectiveness of UCO collection. Attendees were educated on the environmental risks of improper oil disposal and the benefits of recycling UCO into renewable energy. GEA also used the event to strengthen partnerships with corporate participants, encouraging them to integrate UCO recycling into their sustainability plans.
By collaborating with companies like Hume Cement, GEA is actively helping to reduce carbon footprints and promote the use of renewable energy. This event marks another step forward in raising awareness about the environmental importance of UCO recycling.
Join us in our mission to recycle, reduce, and fuel a greener tomorrow!
